On it. I’ve updated their customer record and added the onboarding tasks.

Discuss your setup

Run it on your infrastructure

Self-host Aspen with your own database and file storage. Set up the deployment, backups and access for your company.

Keep a way out

Workspace exports and restore tools are part of the system. Your history should remain useful beyond a single tool.

Set the right boundaries

Control roles, private channels, guests and optional features. Use the admin console and audit log to keep the workspace accountable.

Bring the history along.

A fresh workspace doesn’t have to mean starting from zero. Bring the conversations that matter, review who’s who, and give your team a familiar place to begin.

Let’s plan your move

Slack

Bring channel conversations from your Slack export.

WhatsApp

Turn exported group chats into separate private channels.

Aspen backups

Restore your workspace from an Aspen backup.

Preview conversation imports before you commit. Supported text history comes across; attachment references are reported, and original media files stay in the source.

Good questions.

What can our team do in Aspen?

Talk in channels, threads and direct messages; manage customer work in CRM grids and boards; assign tasks; build dashboards; share files and notes; and keep meetings in view. Add assistants, agents and integrations when useful. Optional features can be enabled to suit the team.

How are assistants and agents different?

An assistant helps when someone asks a question or needs a hand. Configurable agents can work in channels with selected tools, triggers and schedules. Administrators control their setup, budgets and approval requirements. AI requires a configured model provider; the rest of the workspace works without it.

Can we keep using our existing tools?

Yes. Aspen supports connections for GitHub, Linear, Notion and HubSpot, and Google Calendar for meetings. Each integration needs setup and the appropriate account permissions. The walkthrough can cover exactly which connections and actions fit your workflow.

Can AI see private company information?

AI features use the workspace context and tools their permissions allow, rather than granting everyone access to everything. Data used in an AI request can be sent to your configured model provider. Choose that provider and the enabled tools to match your company’s requirements.

Who runs the workspace and controls the data?

Aspen runs on infrastructure you control, with your database and file storage. Someone needs to manage hosting, updates, backups and sign-in setup. Configure HTTPS and storage encryption for your deployment. Aspen is not end-to-end encrypted; server features such as search need access to stored content.

How do we move from another workspace?

Start with exported files. Slack offers a conversations-only path and a fuller workspace-import mode. WhatsApp group transcripts can become separate private channels, with historical authors reviewed before import. Supported text comes across; media is not copied, and the preview reports recognized attachment references. Aspen backups have their own restore path.

What does it cost to get started?
